My design helps to represent “leading the way”. During this exercise I thought of many different ways that I could possibly approach it. One of my final ideas was to make a series of boats that are struggling to get through the rough seas and the problems they face on their way. I then intended to have one boat in front that helped to lead the way into calmer seas. When I was thinking of ways that I could create my final piece I wanted it to take it an abstract route so I experimented with lots of things from around the home such as food colouring, candle wax and also salt. I found these mediums that I used very helpful and I think that they have made my final outcome more successful, I wanted one side of my design to be vibrant colours that could represent a more choppy sea compared to the other side which is blue and green helping to create a more cool and calm atmosphere.
